Action Research (To Beyata)

Initial Reflection:
My students are working hard at English and enjoy reading, listening and speaking English. But I find they, no matter top students or less able students, are tired of writing. Meanwhile, I think their writing needs improving. So I do hope to find some efficient ways to motivate their interest in writing and develop their skills in writing.
Planning:
I will start the action research with the following steps and observe how it will be carried out as well as their effects. If necessary, I will make related changes.
Step 1: To learn the reasons why the students don’t like writing, I will, first of all, give them a questionaire.
Step 2: According to the students’ taste, choose such a paragraph for the students to read at a time as describing a person’s appearance, the psychology of a person or a scene.
Step 3: Organize the students to analyse how the writing moves on in groups. Later, collect their ideas in class. By they way, it is also very important to remind the students to choose proper conjectives to connect separate sentences.
Step 4: Set a correspond writing task. I mean that if I have them describe a person, I will get them to choose one they have known very well.
Step 5: Finally, get the students to work together to find different structures of articles, which will help them build their own writings.
I will, of course, write down what I find, which will, I believe, offer me imformation to think about how to do better.
